Some years ago, members of the comfort Bible study class approached our then interim pastor about developing a weekly Bible study program to benefit residents of Lexington Manor, our local nursing home facility. The interim pastor believed in our ideas so much that he assumed responsibility to deliver the devotional weekly.  During our time with the residents we have a devotional which focuses on a Bible message that would encourage the residence and reinforce our belief that God loves them and has left them on earth to fulfill a specific purpose. Also, a second group of people from various churches leads the residence in a time of music and singing. Recently, we reorganized the group of participants to include members from various local churches. I cannot describe the joy I see on the faces of each resident as we discuss God's word. Our objective is to love and encourage each individual whatever health issue he/she may be facing. We truly received joy as we serve others in the name of Jesus.
